SCOUTING THE HAWKS: Coach Colin Wehman is in his fourth season as head coach of the Hawks. Maine South placed fifth in last year's Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic -- their best finish since 2015. The Hawks will return three starters and will have 80% of their offense back from last season. Rico D'Alessandro was selected to the HCHC All-Tournament Team at the 2024 event, averaging 20.8 points per game. Panayiotos Sotos (12.5 ppg last year) will be in his fourth year of varsity competition for South and is a two-time All-Conference selection in the Central Suburban League. Sasha Matushevskiy is a three-year varsity player who averaged 5 points and 6.5 rebounds last year as a junior. |
