HINSDALE, Ill. –Hayden Schroeder totaled a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds to lead Wheaton Academy to a 52-32 victory over Lane Tech and earn the Warriors the consolation championship trophy at the 2025 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.

Wheaton Academy (10-4) trailed 10-9 after one quarter, but the Warriors too over from there, outscoring Lane Tech (6-7) 17-9 in the second quarter to lead 26-19 at the half. The Warriors continues to pull away in the second half before closing out the contest with the 20-point victory.

Wheaton Academy shot 44.7 percent (21-of-47) from the floor and outscored Lane Tech 38-14 in the paint. Schroeder led the way for the Warrirors with a game-high double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds while shooting 10-of-16 from the floor. Schoeder earned all-tournament honors for his play. Tyler Anderson and Jackson Snider each finished with nine points for Wheaton Academy.

Lane Tech shot 27.7 percent (13-of-47) from the floor but only 14.3 percent (3-of-21) from beyond the arc. Matt Szafoni led the way for the Champions with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds, earning all-tournament honors in the process. John Lamperis added eight points for Lane Tech.
