HINSDALE, Ill. –Panayioitis Sotos scored a game-high 20 points to lead Maine South to a 58-47 win over Burlington Central in a consolation game of the 2025 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.

Maine South (6-7) led for nearly 28 minutes, building a 12-9 lead after the first quarter and a 25-19 advantage at the half. The Hawks led by as many as 17 points in the third quarter before closing out the game with an 11-point win.

Maine South shot 48.6 percent (18-of-37) from the floor, including 52.9 percent (9-of-17) from beyond the arc. Sotos led the Hawks and all scorers with a game-high 20 points, shooting 6-of-14 from the floor and 5-of-8 from downtown. Sotos was named to the all-tournament team for his performance over four games. Ian Smucker added 15 points while Nick Hachigan finished with a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds. Sasha Matushevskiy added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Burlington Central (6-6) shot 30.0 percent (15-of-50) from the floor, including 14.3 percent (2-of-14) from downtown. Patrick Magan paced the Rockets with 15 points while Bennek Braden added 11 points.
