HINSDALE, Ill. - Patrick Magan of Burlington Central led all scorers with 17 points in the Rockets 57-27 win over Schaumburg in the opening round of the 2025 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic. 

A three-pointer from Ryan Carpenter put Burlington Central (6-3) in front for the final time with just over three minutes remaining in the first quarter. The Rockets defense held Schaumburg (7-4) to a scoreless second quarter and single digit first and fourth quarters. 

Cam Anderson led the way for the Saxons with 10 points and seven boards, while as a team Schaumburg shot 27.8 percent (10-of-36) from the field and 11.1 percent (2-of-18) from downtown. Declan Wilson finished second in scoring for the Rockets with eight points, while Burlington Central shot 40.4 percent (23-of-57) from the floor and 53.8 percent (7-of-13). 

Burlington Central will face off against St. Laurence tomorrow at 3:45 p.m., while Schamburg will take on Wheaton Academy in the consolation bracket at 9:30 a.m.
