HINSDALE, Ill. - The Waubonsie Valley Warriors handed St. Charles East a 57-42 loss in the second round of the 2025 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic on Saturday afternoon.

Waubonsie Valley's (7-4) defense held the Saints to single digits in both the second and third quarters en route to its double-digit victory.

St. Charles East (1-10) was led by Michael Hill who finished with 13 points. Gavin Belli followed closely behind with nine points and five rebounds. As a team, the Saints shot 38.5 percent (15-of-39) from the floor and 29.4 percent (5-of-17) from three.

Kris Mporokoso led the way for the Warriors with 25 points and five steals. Evan Malushi added in 14 points and pulled down a team-high six rebounds. As a team, the Warriors shot 42.9 percent (15-of-35) from the field and 41.7 percent (5-of-12) from downtown.

Waubonsie Valley will take on Lane Tech on Monday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m., while St. Charles East will face off against Hinsdale Central at 11 a.m.
