2019 GAME 30: OSWEGO EAST 57, ST. RITA 47 (Fifth-place game)

HINSDALE, Ill. – Will Wolfe scored 24 points to help Oswego East capture the fifth-place trophy at the 2019 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic with a 57-47 win over St. Rita.

St. Rita (9-6) jumped out to a 14-11 lead after one quarter, but Oswego East (10-4) turned the tables in the second, outscoring the Mustangs 15-4 while taking a 26-18 lead at the half. Oswego East led for the remainder of the contest, leading by as many as 15 points in the third quarter before holding off a late charge from St. Rita. Trailing by 11 with five minutes remaining, St. Rita pulled to within five points with 3:18 remaining, but the Mustangs came no closer as the Wolfpack pulled away for the 10-point win.

Oswego East shot 54.3 percent (25-of-46) from the floor and outscored St. Rita 36-20 in the paint while also holding a 31-21 edge on the glass.

Wolfe led the way for the Wolfpack, finishing with 24 points and eight rebounds. Wolfe shot 11-of-16 from the floor in the win. Rithik Ganesan and Grayson Goetz finished with eight points and seven rebounds apiece in the victory.

St. Rita shot 39.5 percent (17-of-43) from the floor in the contest. Alec Millender paced the Mustangs with 24 points in the loss. Connor Serven added eight points and nine rebounds.
