2017 GAME 26 RECAP: Crete-Monee 70, Hinsdale Central 63 (OT)

HINSDALE, Ill. – Crete-Monee survived a game-tying three-pointer at the end of regulation to tip Hinsdale Central 70-63 in a consolation game of the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.

Hinsdale Central’s Trevor Hamilton hit an off-balance, game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer of regulation to even the score at 59-59 after four quarter and force overtime. Crete-Monee (9-6) scored the first five points of the overtime and the Warriors never trailed for the remainder of the period as Hinsdale Central (3-8) came no closer than three points for the rest of the game.

Malik Hardmon carried the Warriors, dropping in a team-leading 26 points while shooting 7-of-14 from the field and 12-of-13 from the foul line. Tyrese Hunt added 15 points for the Warriors. Crete-Monee shot 23-of-52 from the floor to finish the game at 44.2 percent.

Hinsdale Central shot 40.7 percent (22-of-54) from the field with Hamilton pouring in a game-high 27 points. He shot 8-of-16 from the floor and 10-of-11 from the free throw line. Matthew Guglielmo and Max Quast added nine points apiece for the Red Devils.
