2016 GAME 28 RECAP: ROCKFORD AUBURN 68, LINCOLN PARK 57

HINSDALE, Ill. - Four players reached double figures in scoring to lead Rockford Auburn past Lincoln Park 68-57 in a consolation game of the 2016 Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.

After falling behind early in the first quarter, Rockford Auburn (8-6) took control, building a 13-7 lead after one quarter. Lincoln Park (7-7) closed to within four points at the half (28-24), but Rockford Auburn opened the third quarter with a 10-0 run to take a 14-0 lead. The Knights pushed their lead up to 18 at the end of three quarters and led by as many as 21 points in the fourth quarter before coasting to the 11-point win.

Yahmir Muhammad led Rockford Auburn in the win, finishing with 18 points. Justin Robinson added 15 points while Maleek Jarrett totaled a double-double of 10 point and 10 rebounds. Tenoah Tatum added 13 for the Knights who finished the game shooting 46.2 percent (30-of-65) from the floor, including 18.8 percent (3-of-16) from the beyond the arc. Rockford Auburn outscored Lincoln Park 44-28 in the paint.

Lincoln Park shot 46.0 percent (23-of-50) from the floor, including 8-of-15 (53.3 percent) from downtown. The Lions struggled with ball control, turning the ball over 20 times resulting in 20 points for the Knights. Marco Lewis led the way for the Lions, finishing with 11 points and six assists. Tujautae Williams chipped in with 10 points for the Lions.
